Behavior therapy involves teaching the child how to manage specific issues, and encouraging positive behaviors. Medication is another effective way to treat ADHD. However, ADHD medication doesn’t “cure” ADHD.
Keep in mind that deciding whether to have your child take ADHD medication is a personal decision. While it can be very effective, it might not be right for all kids and families.
